Arise's System and Equipment Policy is the strictest published standard: the PC must be hard-wired via Ethernet and cannot be on Wi-Fi at any time, even encrypted. 5G, satellite, microwave, and cellular hotspot services are all prohibited. Minimums are 10 Mbps down / 3 Mbps up, rising to 30 / 10 for some client programs.

Arise sets a maximum latency threshold of 120 ms (50 ms recommended) and recommends 30 Mbps download / 10 Mbps upload over the 10/3 minimum. The policy prohibits wireless connections to any Arise system at any time, even encrypted, and separately names 5G, satellite, microwave and cellular hotspot services as not permitted. Some programs also require hard-wired telephone service — softphones are not allowed.
What passes for Arise
A wired connection — fiber, cable, or DSL — with an Ethernet cable from your computer to the router. Fiber is the strongest fit: upload speed matches download, latency stays low and consistent, and weather doesn't affect it.
If you're on satellite, a cellular hotspot, or 5G home internet, no speed test will get you past Arise's rule — the connection type is what's being checked. The fix is a wired line, installed with the Ethernet connection in the room where you'll work.
