Does your address qualify for The Cigna Group?
We check the real network at your exact address — not a coverage map — and tell you straight either way.
Cigna publishes a dedicated internet requirements page: connections must come from broadband or fiber optic, with at least 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload. Satellite service and mobile hotspots are excluded outright. Notably, Cigna does not require an Ethernet cable — it tells candidates to speed-test over their Wi-Fi.
What The Cigna Group actually says
“Internet connections obtained through a satellite service or mobile hotspots do not satisfy The Cigna Group's, including its divisions, internet requirements.”— The Cigna Group Careers — Work from Home Internet Requirements · source
Cigna is the clearest counterexample on this page: the rule is about how the line is delivered, not whether a cable reaches your desk. Satellite and hotspots fail, but home Wi-Fi over a cable or fiber connection is acceptable — Cigna's own instructions tell you to run the speed test from a device on your Wi-Fi. Cigna also states it does not monitor personal use of your home connection.
What passes for The Cigna Group
A wired connection — fiber, cable, or DSL — with an Ethernet cable from your computer to the router. Fiber is the strongest fit: upload speed matches download, latency stays low and consistent, and weather doesn't affect it.
If you're on satellite, a cellular hotspot, or 5G home internet, no speed test will get you past The Cigna Group's rule — the connection type is what's being checked. The fix is a wired line, installed with the Ethernet connection in the room where you'll work.

Before your The Cigna Group tech check
- Confirm a wired provider reaches your address.
- Run Ethernet to your workspace — not just to the router's room.
- Turn off Wi-Fi and any VPN on the work computer.
- Run a speed test on the wired line (target: at least 10 Mbps down / 5 Mbps up) and screenshot it.

No. The Cigna Group excludes satellite service by policy, regardless of the speeds it delivers. This is a rule about connection type, so no speed test will get you past it.
No. Hotspots and 5G home internet are cellular services that share capacity on a tower, so The Cigna Group cannot guarantee a shift on them. They are excluded even when a speed test looks good.
