TTEC's FAQ notes that some client assignments permit home Wi-Fi with WPA2 encryption, but the technical scan during onboarding requires your computer to be hardwired to the router. Postings list anywhere from 15 to 25 Mbps depending on the program, so treat 25 Mbps as the safe target. Note that TTEC removed its public work-from-home requirements pages in 2026 — the rule now lives only in individual job listings.
What passes for TTEC
A wired connection — fiber, cable, or DSL — with an Ethernet cable from your computer to the router. Fiber is the strongest fit: upload speed matches download, latency stays low and consistent, and weather doesn't affect it.
If you're on satellite, a cellular hotspot, or 5G home internet, no speed test will get you past TTEC's rule — the connection type is what's being checked. The fix is a wired line, installed with the Ethernet connection in the room where you'll work.
