ResultsCX requires remote agents to connect directly to their modem via Ethernet cable; Wi-Fi is explicitly called out as not acceptable.

What ResultsCX actually says

“High Speed Internet – minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and a minimum upload speed of 10 Mbps. Ability to connect directly to the internet service provider modem with an Ethernet cable, (WIFI is not acceptable).”— ResultsCX Bilingual Healthcare Customer Service Representative job posting · source

Posting is a live, currently-open seasonal-to-permanent remote healthcare CSR role (Remote, Florida hub).

What passes for ResultsCX

A wired connection — fiber, cable, or DSL — with an Ethernet cable from your computer to the router. Fiber is the strongest fit: upload speed matches download, latency stays low and consistent, and weather doesn't affect it.

If you're on satellite, a cellular hotspot, or 5G home internet, no speed test will get you past ResultsCX's rule — the connection type is what's being checked. The fix is a wired line, installed with the Ethernet connection in the room where you'll work.

Before your ResultsCX tech check

  1. Confirm a wired provider reaches your address.
  2. Run Ethernet to your workspace — not just to the router's room.
  3. Turn off Wi-Fi and any VPN on the work computer.
  4. Run a speed test on the wired line (target: at least 25 Mbps down / 10 Mbps up) and screenshot it.

ResultsCX internet questions, answered

No. ResultsCX requires your work computer to be connected to the router with an Ethernet cable. A strong Wi-Fi signal does not satisfy the rule, because the check looks at how the computer is connected rather than how fast the line is.

At least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload. The exact minimum can vary by client program, so confirm against the job listing you are applying to.

ResultsCX does not publish a blanket exclusion on satellite, but the speed and latency minimums still apply and satellite often fails the latency test.

ResultsCX does not name hotspots as prohibited, but cellular service shares tower capacity and is a common cause of a failed connectivity scan.
